Charles Snyers is a researcher specializing in Metal Additive Manufacturing and Machine Learning. He received his Master’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering from Université catholique de Louvain in 2016 and completed his PhD at Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 2024. His research focuses on applying Machine Learning to Metal Additive Manufacturing for defect detection and control. Before entering academia, he worked in the aerospace sector at Safran Aero Boosters and the European Space Agency.
